The ChangePoint
mission is to provide the most effective substance abuse, mental health
and domestic violence intervention treatment utilizing culturally
competent, research-based approaches designed to give the best possible
outcomes to our clients. In this connection, ChangePoint has for the
past several years been actively involved in a variety of local and
national research programs aimed at improving the effectiveness of
chemical dependency treatment. |

We partner with
the National Institute on Drug Abuses National Clinical Trials
Network, the United States Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administrations (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment
(CSAT) and Oregon Health and Sciences University in developing and
testing new treatment protocols. We also are involved in treatment
and services research with the University of Georgia, the Texas Christian
University, the University of California at San Francisco School of
Medicine, Portland State University and the University of Wisconsin.
